VI Workshop on Neurobiological of Epilepsy: "Neurochemical Mechanisms of Drug-Resistant Epilepsy" 

 
Drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE affects over 20 million people worldwide and remains a major challenge in Latin America due to its diverse etiologies and limited research infrastructure. This IBRO- and UAC-supported workshop, to be held in Cusco, Peru, in May 2026 as a satellite of the XIV Latin American Epilepsy Congress, aims to promote an integrated neurobiological and neurochemical understanding of pharmacoresistant epilepsy through lectures and hands-on training, fostering regional collaboration and capacity building.
